DRCC presents to Oireachtas Committee on Gender Equality

Dublin Rape Crisis Centre today presented its consideration of the recommendations of the Citizens Assembly on Gender Equality. We are grateful to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Gender Equality for the invitation to speak to its members about our suggestions and concerns following the Assembly's proposals.

Shirley Scott, DRCC Policy Manager, presented our statement and CEO Noeline Blackwell also fielded questions from the committee members.  Also addressing the members were Sarah Benson, CEO of Women's Aid, and Cliona Saidleir, Executive Director of Rape Crisis Network Ireland.
