Webinar: The Realities of Rape Trials in Ireland: Perspectives from Practice

Dr Susan Leahy (University of Limerick) will present her research on whether current laws and procedures represent best practice in fair treatment of complainants in the criminal justice process. Her research draws on in-depth interviews with legal professionals and accompaniment workers supporting survivors in the criminal justice system.

Dr Leahy will put forward her analysis and recommendations for reform, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with inputs from Dublin Rape Crisis Centre CEO Noeline Blackwell, Katherine McGillycuddy BL and DRCC court accompaniment worker Leesha Duffy.
