Our Volunteer Services Department manages the recruitment, training, assessment and supervision of all our volunteers.

DRCC Volunteers undergo extensive training and are an essential part of our team. Volunteers help operate our National 24-Hour Helpline, provide accompaniment services to people attending the Rotunda Hospital’s Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU), Garda stations or court, and give talks to schools and community groups.

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre could not maintain the level of services we provide without our volunteers. In 2017, our 105 outstanding volunteers accompanied over 279 survivors of sexual violence to SATU, to Garda Stations and to court.

If you would like to learn more about volunteering with the DRCC, please call 01 6614911 or email us.

Autumn recruitment for volunteers to support our telephone counselling and accompaniment services has closed.  We will be recruiting again next January for our Spring 2020 training programme.
