The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre has a dedicated group of volunteers who are available to accompany survivors of sexual violence to the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU) at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, to Garda stations, or to court.
Accompaniment to SATU
The experience of any form of sexual assault is traumatic and forensic testing, where sought, like any other medical examination can be stressful. Our experienced and trained volunteers are available in the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit to explain the procedures involved and to offer support to those who require it.
Our volunteers are there to support you and to give information on other services available in the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and how they can be accessed.
Accompaniment to Court or to Garda Stations
Our volunteers also provide support to survivors of sexual violence who would like to be accompanied to a Garda station or to court in relation to their case.
If you need urgent help, contact emergency services or phone our National 24-Hour Helpline on 1800 77 8888.
