Let’s do Lunch – December
Let’s do Lunch takes place during the month of December and involves having a lunch with friends either at home or in a restaurant – and asking everyone to make a donation to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. Whether it’s a sandwich, a bowl of soup, some Thai cuisine or a Christmas lunch, it really is up to you. Just ask everyone to give a financial contribution and you send it on to us at the Centre. Annual Flag Day Collections – October/November
Our annual Flag Day collections take place during October and November. This fundraising event gives everyone the opportunity to give to the Centre and we are always looking for volunteer collectors to help with our collections.

Wilde October Ball 22nd October
The annual Wilde October Ball takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel. This Ball has become a very popular event on the social calendar and is always a fantastic evening – with a champagne reception, dinner and dancing. Cost €2,000 per table of ten. The night is a great success and last year’s proceeds were over €60,000.

Dublin City Marathon
Celebrating 32 years, the Dublin City 26K Marathon takes place on Monday 31st October. Join the thousands of runners and walkers in this year’s Adidas Dublin Marathon which is run through the historic Georgian streets of Dublin.
Participate and enjoy this challenging experience.
Miss Candy Lunch 30th September
The ‘Miss Candy’ Lunch will be held this year at the Westbury Hotel, Grafton Street. It is a spectacular afternoon of fashion, food and fun. Cost €150 per head.

Corporate Quiz Challenge hosted by Pat Kenny – 1st March
The annual Corporate Quiz Challenge will take place at the Four Seasons. This event is greatly supported by up to 50 teams from the corporate sector and is hosted by broadcaster Pat Kenny. The evening starts with a drinks reception and some companies use this event for corporate entertainment.
Mr. Dickens is Coming – 31st March
To celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens, the Friends of the Rotunda presents.. ”Mr. Dickens is Coming”
The moving, funny and entertaining world of Charles Dickens and his characters are brilliantly brought to life by the author’s great great grandson. Gerald Dickens is an internationally acclaimed actor who has performed his unique show in theatres all over the world. Audiences from Asutralia to the USA have been wowed by his extradionary performance that will bring laughter, tears and a deep appreciation of one of the worlds’ greatest authors – you truly will believe that you are in his presence. This is the first time Gerald has brought his show to Ireland.

“Rape Law: Victims on Trial?” Conference – 16th January 2010
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) and the Law School, Trinity College jointly hosted a conference entitled “Rape Law: Victims on Trial?” in Dublin Castle on Saturday January 16th 2010. The conference marked the 30th anniversary of the DRCC.
