Great news we’re delighted to announce we’ll be attending Body&Soul this year as a charity partner to talk about the importance of consent.  This year RCC’s from around Ireland are working together to talk about consent where we plan to provide a ‘Safe Space’ of sorts for festival-goers to relax and take some time away from the busier festival activities. We will have an enclosed marquee thanks to our partners Pluto Events containing comfy seating and hammocks, as well as a private space for any sensitive discussions.

We also hope to raise awareness around our services and ongoing RCC activities. In particular, we hope to provide information about our #AskConsent campaign and foster discussion around consent and healthy sex & relationship education. So why not pop in over the festival to take some time out and also to chat about all things consent.

This campaign is for everyone.  Consent transcends gender and sexual orientation. We want the campaign to benefit everyone. In promoting a consent culture we want to continue to change attitudes about what is and what is not appropriate behaviour.

STOP. ASK. LISTEN. GET CONSENT.

  1. Never assume consent. #Ask Consent
  2. It is completely okay to say No. It’s as ok to say No as it is to say Yes. #Ask Consent
  3. A hesitant, indifferent, unenthusiastic yes, is not a Yes. #Ask Consent
  4. No doesn’t mean convince me #Ask Consent
