Issues of Sexual Violence: The Counselling Process

An intensive 12 day in-service course for those working or beginning to work as counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to enhance their understanding and skills in working with issues of sexual violence.

This course will run for twelve days in six two day modules on Wednesdays and Thursdays from November 2013 to February 2014 from 9.30 to 4.30 each day.

Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st November 2013
Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December 2013
Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd January 2014
Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th February 2014
Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th February 2014

Venue: Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, 70 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2.

The course will explore issues arising in working as a counsellor with adolescent and adult clients who have experienced child sexual abuse, rape or sexual assault.

Comprehensive written notes are provided with this training programme to support the learning and to act as an ongoing resource

 

This training programme is recognised for CPD purposes by the Irish Council for Psychotherapy.

The fee for the course is €1,750.   A Payment plan can be put in place.
